How did you guys do this? I'm installing an SLP UD pulley, so I need to torque the old bolt on. I torqued it to 37 ft. lbs., and then marked off 140 degrees with a angle gauge. I used my impact, but that does not get it anywhere near where it needs to be. The engine is now in the car with everything hooked up. craftsman 70 dollar torque wrench. i dont torque above 120. and tell me what YOU torque down over 120 on an IS besides the crank pulley. try to fit that 120+ torque wrench to torque other bolts/nuts down in the engine bay or suspension. Step 4: Remove the crankshaft pulley. Finally, you can now remove the crankshaft pulley. You just have to take off the timing cover, grab a bolt removing tool or a crankshaft pulley removal tool to slacken the bolts on the pulley by using an impact wrench, and tighten the removal tool until the crankshaft pulley is fully separated from the vehicle. Crank bolt is a stretch bolt and therefore is a torque plus turn arrangement. It lists in the bently as 200 N-m plus 180 degrees. I believe that's the crank bolt, I was looking for specs for the (4) 6mm hex bolts that hold the pulley on the crank. It is very important to use new bolt every time that you torque the crankshaft bolt. Also, if you leave it loose the timing belt might slip and bent valves. I need the torque spec for the head. The only information I have is that it is a 500E Series motor. 5.00 ft lbs gross torque and it’s 140cc. This is per SAE J1940 and it’s 2600 RPM idle speed.
